Digital Citizenship Presentation

Sutherland Public Schools will host attorney Bobby Truhe of KSB School Law to speak with 4th - 8th grade and 9th - 12th-grade students on digital citizenship and social media use.  Students from Paxton Public Schools will join us in Sutherland for the presentations.  Bobby and others in his firm have done hundreds of presentations across the state and the country on these issues.  The presentations will be age appropriate and cover legal and practical things students must be aware of when using social media and technology.  Bobby will talk through the school rules and laws around bullying and harassment, inappropriate pictures, sexting, and spotting and avoiding online predators.  Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend one of the presentations to help facilitate conversations at home with students. This presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 7th. The 4th - 8th-grade presentation will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm CST and the 9th - 12th grade will be from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm CST.
