🏆 What a month it's been for Sutherland Teammates! 🏆
After an incredible Firecracker Run on the 4th of July, our Program Coordinator and Teammates Board members traveled to Lincoln to attend the Teammates Annual Conference. It was an inspiring few days filled with valuable training, new ideas, and renewed enthusiasm to continue making a difference in the lives of our students.
We're also excited to share that Sutherland Teammates brought home some hardware! 🏅 Our chapter was honored as the Western Region Chapter of the Year!
This award reflects the hard work and dedication that has gone into creating opportunities for growth, intentionally rebuilding connections, strengthening leadership, and fostering a culture of excitement around mentoring.
This year alone, the Sutherland Teammates chapter has made 41 new mentor-mentee matches, representing an incredible 88% growth! These achievements would not have been possible without the amazing people of the Sutherland community who have stepped up to become mentors for our students.
To every mentor, volunteer, supporter, donor, and community member—thank you! Your commitment is changing lives, one match at a time.

Summer Fun!! This Summer the Sailor boys and girls basketball teams will challenge students in all grades to get shots up. Thanks to Snow White's donation, if you are outside shooting hoops there is a chance you could win an ice cream cone!! We hope everyone has a great summer.
The Scarlets went to the CheerU Camp in Hershey on Thursday and Friday where they learned correct forms and techniques to start us out strong with our cheers, jumps and stunts! They learned so much and overcame obstacles as a team. Eva Nutter and Marley Reeves were acknowledged during the awards ceremony. We are so incredibly proud of how much work they all put into these two days and cannot wait to show everyone what these girls can do at the first game of the season!
